In order to get started, register on the website by clicking the Sign Up button. After completing the registration process, receiving a number, and testing the functionality, choose a plan that best fits your SMS marketing campaign and start messaging. Where can I send the messages to?

You can send SMS and Voice messages to any EU country and basically any other country on the globe. In total, MessageLY platform lets you send messages to more than 200 countries worldwide.

Which countries’ phone numbers will I be able to create to message and send voicemails from?

Please note that the country you select during registration will also be the country of your appointed phone number. In case you’d like to change the country assigned to your account to receive a phone number from another one, please contact us. In order to buy secondary number packages in some countries you’ll have to provide certain list of documents according to the law of country of use. For more information contact us.

The country I’d like to receive a virtual number for is not in the list. What should I do?

Some countries require identity documentation for Phone Number compliance, that’s why they are not included in the list. Please contact us to provide the required documents and we’ll add this country for you.

I’m unable to purchase phone numbers in my country.

In order to get a phone number in some countries, you’ll have to provide identity documentation for Phone Number compliance of the respective country. Please contact us and provide the required documents — a list of available phone numbers will appear in your dashboard shortly after the compliance check is over.

Why would I need a Two-Way SMS phone number?

The main reason two-way SMS phone numbers are required is because your customers will need to text a keyword to your number to opt-in or opt-out of receiving messages from you. A two-way phone number also lets you gather user feedback, start a conversation, and collect your subscribers’ names, emails, and birthdays to personalize your future messages.

What about email notifications?

You can get SMS notifications with the text of each SMS received on your number forwarded to the email address of your choice. To enable email notifications, turn on Incoming SMS Alerts in user settings.

How do I use Keywords?

Mobile keywords are used in mobile marketing to appeal to a certain target market. By sending a mobile keyword to your number, the sender will automatically subscribe to your SMS service. An example of a mobile keyword can be texting “HELLO'' or “SUBSCRIBE”. With MesssageLY, you can create an unlimited number of keywords for no additional fee.

Can I check the history of all incoming and outgoing messages and calls?

Yes, you can access the logs by clicking the “Logs” button on the left side of the dashboard. You can select which log types to display, see the phone number, message body, and creation date as well as other relevant information for your messages and voicemails.

Can I import a contact list inside the dashboard?

Yes. If you already have a contact list for your marketing company, you can import it inside the dashboard by uploading a CSV file. The process is automated so you won’t have to enter every single contact from your list one by one.

Yes. If you already have an appointment list for your marketing company, you can import it inside the dashboard by uploading a CSV file.

Can I download a contact list from the dashboard?

Yes, you can download your contact list in XLSX format. You can also download complete messages history to see contact phone numbers, the messages itself, creation date, and other relevant information.

Besides, you can download a keywords list, group and single scheduled messages, message templates, appointments lists, voice broadcasts, auto responders, polls, contests, subscribers’ reports, Q&A SMS bots, mobile coupons, loyalty programs, kiosks, birthday SMS wishes, mobile splash pages, and referrals.

Basically, all the information you have inside your dashboard is downloadable.

Why would I need a web sign-up widget?

In order to create a widget, click the Tools tab and select Web Sign-up Widgets from the dropdown menu. After accessing the widget creation page, assign a group for your widget and design it via a built-in constructor. The process is native and easy, besides, there’s an option to preview your widget during the creation. After designing the widget and appointing signup messages and redirect URL, select the type of your widget.

What QR codes can be used for?

How do I create a QR code?

In order to create a QR code, click the Tools tab and select QR Codes from the dropdown menu. After accessing the built-in QR code builder, select the type of your QR code, design it and upload your logo or select a watermark.

Is there a way to see the complete list of my subscribers in one place?

Yes, there is. You can open the Reports tab to see a complete list of your subscribers (including their names, groups, phones, sources, and subscription dates) as well as see a visual representation of the number of subscribers that joined your campaigns for each day of the selected month's range.

Is there a limit on the amount of SMS messages I can send at a time?

Technically, there is no limit. But in reality, mobile carriers are a little more cautious about letting someone send thousands of messages in one go for SPAM reasons.

Besides, the user dashboard has some features that were developed to help you out in this particular situation.

You can assign multiple numbers on a single account and rotate through them while sending SMS messages by ticking a checkbox, so every new message will be sent from a different number. It is highly recommended when sending a large number of SMS messages with similar or identical content.

Moreover, you can automatically rearrange the word positions in your text so each subsequent SMS will be different from the one sent before it.

Finally, there is an option to throttle the sending rate to send your messages at a slower rate. Due to the above-mentioned carrier restrictions, the default (and the fastest) sending speed for a long code is 1 SMS per second. You can go slower in case you’d like to exercise extra caution. The slowest setting available is 10 SMS per minute or an SMS every 6 seconds.
